Lovely meal at Miller & Carter and great service from Sylvia who was really friendly, helpful and attentive but not intrusive on a really busy Saturday night. If there is a staff award for service it should go to Sylvia !

We had a lovely meal here, busy Friday night with a great atmosphere. Food was cooked well and had loads of flavour. The staff in general were all polite, helpful and friendly. Management could been seen supporting the staff which was nice to see. Our server Sylvia was so lovely and honestly couldn’t do enough for us. Will return.

We visit the Miller & Carter roughly every 8weeks. We always go to the one in Hockley Heath, our preference, it's quieter. The staff are very friendly & the food is very good. It's not cheap but the steaks, especially, are of a good quality. There are vegetarian options, as I am always vegetarian. The deserts are delicious too. I would add that the coffee is far too strong. Definitely worth a visit.

Our dining experience was not an enjoyable one. The staff seemed under a lot of pressure and didn't have the time to spend with you and they were rushing around. Out of the 2 fillets steaks we ordered, 1 was quite fatty and the other was cooked that much, it was completely dried out and tough. We returned the steak and by the time a new one arrived, the rest of my party had finished eating. We ordered desserts and they were thrown on the table as the waitress was passing. One of the desserts was ice cream and it had obviously been stood out too long before it was brought to our table, as it was completely melted when we received it. We had empty plates and glasses on our table far too long, so we didn't have the opportunity to order more drinks, so we paid the bill and left!

What a super place lovely decor perfect ambiance friendly staff who new the menu good selection of wines only disappointment was the the cod was slightly over cooked and the lamb was ordered pink and it was not bud was lovely and tender so didn't spoil the dish dont let this put you off this place is deffinatly worth a visit

Fantastic food and service. Decor is lovely and inviting. Been there quite a few times for food in the restaurant and drinks at the bar and it has always been friendly and worth the money. Will definitely visit again soon.

Our steaks was served how we like although they were a little cold (as you can see the butter never melted) and the onion loaf was cold too. Food was served very quick.
Took our waitress 45mins to collect our empty plates, which was disgusting!!!We couldn't see our waitress to ask her to remove the plates so had to sit with our finished plates for ages. We only had 1 drink each as no waitress came and asked us if we would like more.
When she did finally remove the plates we asked to see the dessert menu. We ordered the mini dessert with a cocktail and a coffee, they came to us super fast and Was finished before the drinks came.!! I feel like the waitresses are given to many tables to serve. Such a shame as it kind of ruined a romantic meal. 😔

The service was poor and the medium rare steak was the worst I've eaten - cold and poorly cooked. One side overcooked (charred too heavily) and the other side undercooked. Eventually the waitress offered a new steak but having waited for so long in the first place, and my wife eating her food, I didn't want to wait for a new steak. Why was the lettuce, which I like, served with the steak? It wasn't eaten and why would it be? The waitress said she would speak with her manager and update me. It never happened. No surprise. Having eaten at circa 20 M&C restaurants this is the only one I would never return to or recommend.
